When I was a little girl we would spend much of our summers at my Grandparents' little log cabin in the Snowy Range in Wyoming. It is still my favorite place on earth. For several years there was a bison ranch at the base of the mountains and I would be in awe of those magnificent creatures and only wished I could go greet them and make friends.

That memory is what inspired this painting. My heart is happy just thinking about that wonderous time in my life!
