Every time I come back from teaching in Tubac, AZ I feel compelled to paint cacti - especially Prickly Pear.
This guy is super textural with thick, vibrant applications of paint against a very smooth and soft background. The little bits of super bright colors peaking through provide an upbeat personality to this Prickly Pear.
